Before we design a system, we will talk with you about the energy efficiency of your home. We offer a full weatherization service including energy audits and blower door testing.
Every system is custom designed to suit our customers’ requirements and desires. Our first consideration is assessing the renewable resource available at the site. Once assessed, we will decide whether wind, solar or a combination of both will work most effectively. Usually, installing a hybrid system balances the system's generation throughout the day. The size of the system is our next consideration and is dictated by our customers’ energy usage and desired energy production. And finally, we determine how the system should be mounted, whether on your home’s roof or on a tilt-up monopole, doing a structural analysis of all buildings involved and assessing space availability and height requirements and restrictions. SoleVento extensively trains all if its crew members and never subcontracts out to a third party company. We work with educated, ethical and hard working individuals who are dedicated to doing great work.
After we install the system, we attach monitoring equipment to ensure the system is working as intended. This monitoring equipment can be purchased by the homeowner and data collected on his/her home computer to track the amount of energy produced over the entire life of the system.
SoleVento offers maintenance programs on all of our systems, as well as systems that are not installed by us. We will annually inspect, clean and run the system through a series of checks to ensure that your system continues to work properly.
Maintenance performed four times a year at $180 per maintenance. Includes three hours of labor per maintenance. Total annual cost to maintain your solar system is $720 per year.
Maintenance performed twice a year at $375 per maintenance. Includes eight hours of labor per maintenance. Total annual cost to maintain your wind turbine is $750 per year.
